Artist François-Xavier Marange 1948-2012

Born in France in 1948, François-Xavier Marange arrived in Montreal in 1982.
The artist has seen his works presented solo in Montreal, Quebec, Ottawa, Vienna, Paris and Majorca and has more than fifty group exhibitions to his credit, including those presented at the Galerie Libéral Bruant (2005), at the Toronto International Art Fair (2005 and 2007) and at the 3rd Île -de-France Engraving Biennial (2001). His works are found in numerous public and private collections in Canada.
François-Xavier Marange died in Montreal on October 8, 2012. In the summer of 2013, the Simon Blais Gallery dedicated a tribute exhibition to him.
